Students have been introduced to a variety of animation styles and techniques. A number of projects have been started, including claymation, flash, and other stop motion related techniques. I am very excited about the end results that the students are working towards.
In order to begin work on a project, students must plan their project out by brainstorming different ideas for different techniques, and then exploring and expanding on their favorite idea. At this point, students make a pitch to their teacher to get approval to begin more in-depth work on their concept. Once approved, scripting and storyboarding take place, and then actual production begins upon the completion of time management tools such as project calendars.
