Semester 2 is off to a great start. There are currently a number of grade 9 Communications Technology classes, a grade 10 level, and a 10/20/30 level. Students are currently working through their first series of Pyramid of Assessment requirements and grade 9 students have been introduced to the Characteristics of a Responsible Learner rubric pyramid.
Grades 10-12 classes are now 5 credits instead of the 3 credits they were in the 2011/12 year. I am excited about this change to bring more experience to our learners in a variety of different software/technology platforms and look forward to all of the great projects that will be completed this semester.
In addition the CTECH courses, Design class levels 10/20/30 have also started. Software that will be used for this course will be Google Sketch, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Maya 2013 in addition to basic drafting training.
Last but not least, Provincial/Canada Skills Competition is just shy of 100 days away!
